FAQ's for Data Processing Services

These are a number of the most-frequently asked questions we get about our services. Please contact us if you have any questions regarding any aspect of our work.

Q: How long will it take to complete my project?
Once we have either samples of the document and the approximate quantity of records we will then be able to determine the turn-round time.

Q: What if my project is an on-going?
We process client data and turn round either same day, 48 hours, weekly, etc. Basically you set the service levels that suit you.

Q: How often do you output my data?
Options are specific to you, or your client's needs. It could be daily, weekly, monthly or at the close of the project.

Q: How do you output my data?
We can output in the following methods

We have significant control and technical capabilities to build customised output formats to meet the most demanding customer requirements.

Q: What do you do about quality control?
Amdata work hard to achieve the highest level of accuracy possible, using a variety of methods and tools depending on project specification and client requirements.

 
Field Validation - when designing the data entry program for each project, we make extensive use of field validations, including table look-ups, formulas, and data type restrictions. For example, this includes standard or custom check digit formulas, post code look ups using PAF, as well as any type of customer specific data.
Punch & Verify - when 100% accuracy is absolutely required in forms processing, selected fields or entire documents can be re-keyed. After data has been keyed once, it is keyed again by a second independent operator. As each keystroke is made, the system flags any differences. These are immediately verified and corrected.
   

Q: Can you provide me with a cost for my project?
Once we have samples and the quantity, we will be able to determine price. Amdata follows the industry practice of setting a price for data entry by assessing actual source documents. If these are not available we can use artwork drafts.

Q: What are your hours of business?
We operate standard business hours - Monday through Friday 7am to 5pm. We can of course operate up to 7 days / 2 shifts, but this is client dependant.

Data Capture - Amdata specialise in the capture of paper-based transactions. We provide data entry services to a variety of customers, covering most of the business sectors throughout the UK.
Mail Room - Our mail room service staff handle post from a variety of sources, including mail opening and sorting, gone away and returned items, and a number of other marketing based documents such as coupons and competitions.
